What does this mean for German medium-sized companies?
Now that planning for live events is slowly starting again, the demand for hybrid solutions is high. Regional travel restrictions will be with us for a while, and companies are sometimes opting for a more local or regional approach to their live events, with the option of bringing national teams together virtually in regional hubs and combining the two formats.
In addition, many in the events and exhibitions industry are wondering whether digital event solutions are a risk to live events or a useful addition.
However, planning a hybrid event requires a completely different set of expertise – live and broadcast. In many cases, this could mean two separate teams working on the „same but different“. So there is still a lot of work and rethinking ahead.
So what does this mean for German SMEs, which are heavily dependent on „international events“ as a means of communication – how do they communicate to markets around the world WITHOUT the leading international trade fairs they have become so fond of? Will we soon be doing more regional/continental-focused events and linking them virtually? Or will corporate communications have to come up with something completely new for this? Is there a threat of a cost explosion in communications? Where do we go from here?
We will discuss with Peter Blach, Editor-in-Chief of Blach Report, and Tanja Schramm, Managing Director at MEET GERMANY, among others. The discussion will be moderated by Dagmar Mackett, Global Development Director, DRPG.
We look forward to a lively discussion and your participation on Friday, 09 July at 11.30. Click here to register!
