The Congress Fund Berlin is a funding program initiated by the state of Berlin for the relaunch of the event industry. It is intended to support event organizers in holding planned business events in Berlin conference hotels and event venues.
Event organizers can receive a subsidy of 25 euros per present participant if they hold professional events of at least 4 hours duration and with at least 50 participants in Berlin. For events that take place analogously and hybrid, the subsidy increases to 35 euros per presence participant per event day. The program also promotes sustainable event and company management. Thus, if you meet certain sustainability criteria according to the Sustainable Event Scorecard (for example, with regard to catering or mobility), you can receive a supplementary grant of 25 euros.
A financial subsidy of a total of 60 euros per participant per day is possible! The maximum subsidy amount per event is 49,950 euros.
And the best thing about it: your event is covered by the Congress Fund Berlin! If the event cannot be held due to restrictions of the SARS-CoV-2 infection control measures ordinance valid at the time of the event, eligible expenses actually incurred can be recognized and settled up to a maximum of 60% of the provisionally approved funding amount.
