MEET GERMANY launches new format: Discover the event destination Switzerland with MEET EUROPE

Event planners from the D-A-CH region are invited to get to know the sustainable event destination Switzerland from September 21 to 23. The partners MEET EUROPE, Switzerland Convention & Incentive Bureau (SCIB), Zürich Tourism and [time change] are creating a diverse three-day program that showcases breathtaking nature, vibrant cities, local culture and tradition, and a modern appealing event destination.

Switzerland is a congress country with an impressive tradition and variety of opportunities for meeting and event planners in all regions. The density of cultural, urban and nature-based experiences in a small area is unparalleled. The high standards and professionalism of the event destination are impressive. Switzerland is also a global pioneer in the field of sustainability.

With the new brand „MEET EUROPE“ as well as the partnership with the Switzerland Convention & Incentive Bureau (SCIB) and Zürich Tourism, the industry community MEET GERMANY is specifically expanding its offer and network for event planners and business travelers. Tanja Schramm, CEO MEET GERMANY: „I am very happy about the premiere of MEET EUROPE. With the new brand we start for the first time abroad and immediately in such a fascinating destination; together with creative, professional and committed partners. I am very excited about the offers and opportunities in Switzerland. I am sure that our trade visitors will share my enthusiasm during this very interactive and exciting program.“

Versatile get-to-know-you program for planners, decision-makers and travel managers

Addressed are event planners, decision makers and travel managers from the D-A-CH region and beyond. The program is as multifaceted as the host country:
The kick-off evening on September 21 in Zurich’s new „The Circle Convention Centre“ is all about interaction and high-quality networking. Various „networking formats“ will be used here and, in addition to getting to know each other, will ensure a cheerful transfer of knowledge.

„An experience day in Zurich“ is the motto on September 22. The Umwelt Arena and the Kongresshaus Zürich introduce themselves. A boat tour across the Züri See shows Zurich in a very unique perspective. The Maître Chocolatiers at the „Lindt Home of Chocolate“ and the gala dinner at The Dolder Grand will put a smile of pleasure on the faces of the participants.

On the third day of the event, various tours await the planners:

Under the motto „Pure Nature,“ participants will get to know the Engadine and St. Moritz regions. After a cable car ride, a short hike to Muottas Muragl and the unique view of the lake landscape as well as the Bernina massif round off the tour. Selected hotel partners present themselves, such as the Romantik Hotel Muottas Murgal or Saratz, Reine Victoria and Laudinella.
„When angels travel“ Engelberg is simply part of it: Participants take a trip to the Brunni including a guided train tour of the climate-neutral mountain railroads and get to know hotel partners such as the Kempinski Palace Engelberg or Hotel Bellevue-Terminus.
The open-air museum Ballenberg and Congress Centre Kursaal are waiting in the tour „Eventful Interlaken – between mountains and lakes“.

Many other partners support the events, for example the respective local convention bureaus or travel providers.
