Special events of our COMMUNITY: One of the current projects of MEET GERMANY annual partner Stefan Lohmann is the German Sustainability Award. Here, as Artist Relations Manager, he is responsible for the entire live entertainment concept and booking of the stars.
Our annual partner Stefan Lohmann is a Talent Buyer and Artist Relation Manager from Hamburg. He is also a strong advocate for sustainability in the event industry. His current projects include the German Sustainability Award, where he has booked many well-known artists for the event, among others: „Whether Joss Stone, Fantastischen 4, Simply Red, Milky Chance, Rea Garvey, Angélique Kidjo, Jack Johnson, Nelly Furtado,- all are committed to this topic. It’s such an important mission and a great pleasure to work with artists who are committed to sustainability and are awarded for it.“
This year, among others, singer Joss Stone will receive the German Sustainability Award alongside Oscar winner Forest Whitaker and EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. „2 strong women with a hell of a lot of power and an Oscar winner – that’s what I call a strong sign from the German Sustainability Award,“ says Lohmann
Now some may be wondering how to prevent emissions from international flights. „True, that’s not entirely easy at the moment, but there are already solutions for that, too. There is the possibility of flying with bio-kerosene, which significantly reduces emissions. Unfortunately, there is always a residual amount of emissions from flights that has to be compensated. This is where aircraft manufacturers and airlines are called upon to help drive the technology forward. For coaches, nightliners, trucks and generators, HVO BIO fuel could be a solution,“ Lohmann continues.
More than 100 finalists in the competitions for the German Sustainability Award will find out on December 2 and 3 at the MARITIM Hotel in Düsseldorf whether they will receive the prestigious award. The framework for the awards is the German Sustainability Day, which since 2008 has developed into the most visited annual communication platform on sustainability issues. The congress and evening events will be held as face-to-face events according to 2G rules. In addition, the entire congress is streamed free of charge.
The online platform DNP.tv also offers online visitors extensive interaction opportunities with participants on site.
